Composition & safety
At PURRA we prefer transparency to slogans. Here is exactly what our refills diffuse, and why.
Fine perfumery compositions
Our scent refills are not botanical essential oils: they are perfumery compositions, created from materials used in fine perfumery, such as Exaltolide or Ethylene Brassylate — musks found in great fragrances. This is a deliberate choice: the scent signatures of grand hotels are themselves perfumers' creations, designed to travel through the air and to last.
No alcohol, no added water
Each refill is a concentrated fragrance: no alcohol, no water. PureFlow™ technology breaks it down cold into dry microparticles, without heating or diluting it. What is diffused in your home is exactly what the perfumer composed.
Safety
Our refills have safety data sheets (SDS) compliant with the European CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008):
- Not classified as hazardous under the CLP Regulation
- Non-flammable
- No substance identified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction in the declared composition
- Not subject to dangerous goods transport regulations
Precautions of use
As with any room fragrance: keep out of reach of children, do not swallow, avoid contact with the eyes. Around animals or sensitive people, start with the lowest intensity in a ventilated room and observe. If you have any doubt linked to a particular sensitivity, ask a healthcare professional.
